Finish Your Series Challenge

The most recent Top Ten Tuesday focused on series enders. The lists had many different books on them but one thing many had in common, is that people are terrible at finishing series. I want to out all the series that I am currently reading in one place and to challenge myself to finish them. Maybe you have a series or two to finish also? If so, please post your own list and shame yourself into finishing those series!

Wow, that is a lot of books! My goal is to read three of these books a month for the next six months. Most of these I own, so it will be conquering my Shelf Of Shame which makes it a twofer!

Would you like to join me in your own goal post? If you do, link up at the bottom and we can see if your list is a bad as mine.

Waiting On Wednesday (7)

Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights new releases that you are eagerly anticipating. This week I am waiting on Through The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi.

Throught The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi

Title: Through The Ever Night (Under The Never Sky #2)

Author: Veronica Rossi

Publisher: HarperCollins

Publishing Date: January 8th, 2013

Goodreads

Summary

It’s been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don’t take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe’s precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.

Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.

I just finished Under The Never Sky (like today) and it may be one of my favorite books of the year. That being said, I need book two like I need oxygen. The cover of Through The Ever Night does not disappoint. It will look awesome on my shelf and I will probably need to preorder it to read on the day it comes out.

What are you waiting on?

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I Want To Finish

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they pick a  fun topic for a top ten list. This weeks list is freebie where you can pick any topic you like. I decided to do the top ten series I want to finish.

1. Delirium by Lauren Oliver

I am dying to read the second book in this series, Pandemonium.

2. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

I am way behind on this one having only read the first book, City Of Bones. At least I was able to get to that one before the movie comes out.

3. Percy Jackson And The Olympians by Rick Riordan

I have two books left in this series which is slowly becoming one of my favorites. reading these books has been such a joy.

4. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

Two down and two to go in this series.

5. The Faerie Wars Chronicles by Herbie Brennan

I stumbled on the first book in a used book store and loved it. I cannot wait to read books two through five.

6. A Song Of Fire And Ice by George R. R. Martin

I have only read the first book in this series but my excuse is that these books are really long. Long and detailed and oh-so-good but long. I love to read but these series is a real investment in time. Hopefully I will have the time sometime this decade.

7. The Wicked Years by Gregory Maguire

I read Wicked: The Life And Times Of The Wicked Witch Of The West when it first came out in 2000. Loved it and read Son Of A Witch and kind of forgot about the series. This one has been so long that I would probably need to start over to refresh my memory.

8. Book Of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

I read the first two books of this series when the terrible movie came out. Never got around to reading the third and fourth books.

9. Heather Wells by Meg Cabot

I received the first book, Size 12 Is Not Fat, from PaperBack Swap. It was a random pick to use up a credit but I really enjoyed the book.

10. Walsh Family by Marian Keyes

The latest book in this series came out in September, The Mystery Of Mercy Close. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Marian Keyes is my favorite Chick-Lit author and the Walsh family are my favorite set of Irish sisters.
